(Philadelphia, PA) – February 12, 2013 – Many people, at one time or another, have wanted to give up. Gospel artist Conrad Miller encourages the weary saint to Keep Pressing on his brand new CD, released on Tuesday, February 12th.
Known for cuts like “Momma Prayed For Me” and “Amazing”, Miller’s new release showcases the Gospel singer with a slightly more contemporary vibe. Conrad shares, “The first project’s arrangements had more of a ‘male chorus’ feel. This project is more diverse musically. These arrangements are big and orchestral as opposed to the light instrumentation of the first record.”
Conrad’s sophomore release, Keep Pressing, gives fans even more great music to enjoy. Produced by GRAMMY, Stellar and Dove Award winning producer, Steven Ford, Keep Pressing’s lead single, “I Need You”, has already broken the Top 100 on the BDS Gospel charts, currently sitting at #88. On the Mediabase chart, the tune ranks at #50. The up-tempo, feel good song is easily relatable to anyone who’s realized a need for God. Written from the pen of the producer himself, the words capture the essence of a heart in desperate need of the Lord.
The name of the project isn’t just a title, but it’s something the artist himself has learned to do. Having experienced the suicide of his 16-year old daughter a few years ago, Conrad knows the struggles people encounter after facing a devastating, life-altering blow. For Conrad, the goal of the new CD is to provide the listener with hope and to remind people to keep their faith in God in sight at all times. ”Everybody needs encouragement,” shares Miller. “Even though I am so excited about what we’ve done musically, my hope is that the lyrics touch people. l want people to be uplifted; I want them to feel God’s touch in their spirits after listening to Keep Pressing.”
Keep Pressing contains a mix of soulful, heart-stirring songs including “He’ll Never Let You Down”, “Our Prayer” and the inspirational title tune, “Keep Pressing”. Miller also covered two well-known songs on the project, “Amazing Grace” and “Center of My Joy”. Ford and Miller penned a number of cuts on the album as well. In addition, songwriter Jacki Cordery was brought in to share her tunes, “I’m Living” and “Without Fail”.
Miller has been in love with music since starting piano lessons at the age of five. He began singing seriously at the age of 12, ultimately becoming a member of the R&B group, The Soulful Seven, signed to MGM Records. As an R&B songwriter, one of his songs, “Carla, My Love”, a moderate hit, was recorded by the nationally-known group, The SofTones. He received his musical education at Fort Hays Kansas State University studying voice and did his graduate work at the University of Michigan in voice and opera. He’s sung at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and in Europe. For more information on Conrad Miller, log on to www.ConradMilerMusic.com.
