Atlanta, GA- (April 19, 2012) –

Powerful voices ruled the night and multicultural unity took center stage at the Gospel Music Association (GMA)’s 43^rd Annual GMA Dove Awards at the FOX Theatre in Atlanta with a blockbuster show that reached new heights.  Choirs, where so many of today’s leading music artists first got their start, stepped out of the background and into the spotlight throughout the night’s performances.  To bring to life the theme of “Voices,” The Tenors made their Dove Awards debut as the first classical group to ever perform at the awards, with two of Gospel’s biggest icons:  Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin.  The evening featured a show-stopping performance by American Idol break-out stars Danny Gokey, Mandisa, Phil Stacey and Ruben Studdard paying homage to the role of faith in their lives with classics ranging from Lean on Me to Send Me An Angel.
