Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
—1 Corinthians 15:58
The economy may be fickle. So called friends can disappoint you. In today’s culture, nothing is for certain; Nothing is truly sure except one thing and that is JESUS! If we build our lives on the Lord’s work and His plan for our life, He will give us the strength we need to hang in there and finish the race! Remember in His word he calls us more than conquerors. And, because we are His children it is through His love, grace, and mercy that we can stand firm and do what God’s will is for our lives. Yes, there will be obstacles, trials, disappoints, mishaps in our life that we will have to face, but God is all powerful! We shall STAND FIRM!
Give me courage and strength, O God, to not budge from my hope and confidence in your Son. Comfort me in times where I am weary and feel like I want to give up. O God, continue to crown my head with wisdom and understanding knowing that you are always with me.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Being a Christian does not exempt you from pain, heartache, or sorrow. It does not exempt you from “rainy days’ or moments of sadness. Thanks to be God, we as Christians are always in the Father’s arms. In His arms, one can find peace, joy, love, and true happiness. Walking this Christian walk can be challenging, but God is all-sufficient. In our lives, we may experience heartache from a broken family, relationship, friendship, failure or disappointment. The essence of it all is that we can depend on God to not only see us through, but to be there to hold us and rock us with His love.
Many Christians are hurting and broken from past hurts, but we must remember that God loves us so much that He gave his only son that we might have life and have it more abundantly. We must remember that God will love us more than any broken relationship, broken friendship, broken family issue that we may face. God is all-knowing and He knows exactly what he can and cannot handle.
A Special Prayer for You
Thank you for loving me unconditionally day in and day out. Thank you for being the same God, never changing. Thank you for your everlasting love. In you, I am grateful to have eternal love, peace, joy, happiness, grace, and mercy. Lord, thank you for never giving up on me even in my moments of willful disobedience. I love you God, not because of what you have done, but for who you are! Thank you for always wrapping your arms around me when I needed you the most. Your love is indescribable. Thank you God lastly for loving me in spite of myself. I am forever grateful and thankful.
In Jesus name. Amen
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
– Philippians 4:13

Here’s to a Happy New Year!
Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
As humans, we are not equipped to carry all the cares of the world on our shoulders. I encourage you today to take rest in the Holy Spirit, our Father. Many times we carry the heavy burdens of our stressful jobs, home environment, school, family issues, relationships, or friendships and we forget that God is the Father of Peace. In Matthew 11:28-30, the Lord declares that we must come to Him with our cares and we WILL find rest for our souls. God is strong and mighty and able to carry our burdens. We must trust and have faith that He can do the impossible on our jobs, in our homes, and in our relationships.
Here’s a prayer to use today as you seek rest in the Lord and from your situation:
Dear God, I pray that I continue to seek your Face and not your hand. Lord, I pray to continue to rest in your everlasting peace. God bless me with a peace of mind, a peace in my heart, and a peace over every aspect of my life. Lord, I love and I thank you for reassuring me that I can come to you as your child and rest in your arms. In your arms, I am safe, in your arms I am made new. In your arms I find peace.
In Jesus Name,
Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Have you ever just sat back and thanked God for saving you? Today, I want you to take a moment to acknowledge God and His unwavering mercy. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us all. That is powerful. What greater love than a man who would give his life? I am thankful and grateful to God!
Through the storms of life, remember that God loves you! Remember that while yet you were in sin, Christ died to save your life. Many times in our lives, we get so caught up on what is happening around us and forget to say thank you! Thank you to our Master and King for giving His life while we were in a world of sin.
Thank you God for giving us your son Jesus Christ to die for each of our sins. I am forever thankful and grateful for the love you give us each and every day. While yet we were still in sin, Christ saved us. Thank you God for never letting us go and providing us with brand new mercies every morning.
James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
In this life, we must remember that sometimes blessings can be disguised by trials and tribulations, and even setbacks. A recent layoff of a job or a car breaking down are just a few ways God can turn that temporary setback into a blessing in return. Many times, Christians will doubt God and what He is capable of doing in our lives. But, we must remember to count it all joy! Even during those trials and tribulations, we must give God all the glory and praise, because there is a blessing on the way. There is a breakthrough on the way; God is a miracle worker! I know it for a fact!
In James 1:2, it shows us as Christians that we must stay steadfast and unmovable during this race called life. It is only a TEST of our faith. Ask yourself, have you passed the test of faith in your finances? marriage? children? job? spiritual walk? God wants us to trust Him and have faith that He can do the impossible, the unthinkable!
Here is a prayer that you can use in times when you face setbacks such as these. This is my prayer:
Dear God, thank you for the many blessings you have given me, but also I want to thank you for the setbacks, thank you for the trials, and tribulations. Those things made me stronger in YOU. Those trials made me trust and love you more. Lord, I thank you for being my protector and I have all confidence that you will continue to bless me and enlarge my territory, no matter what tricks of the enemy may come against me. I have faith to believe that you are all knowing and all sufficient in my life. Thank you father.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11
This is such a familiar verse and you probably have heard it over and over again. However, think about where God has you in this stage of your life. Has God shifted some things in your life that seem unexplainable? Has He made some things come to life that were once dead?
Growing up, many of us had plans for our lives and where we would see ourselves in 5 years, 10 years, but God! It should be our desire to have God be in full control of our lives. I want what God has for me! Many times, we question God. Why didn’t I get that job? Why didn’t this relationship last? Why didn’t that work out? God always answered it is not My will, nor My plan for your life…
Thank you for being a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, thank you for being the head of my life. I will follow you all of my days, because I know the plans you have for me are that of future and hope. Thank you God for not giving up on me, even in the times when I have given up on myself. I trust you Lord with my heart, my life.
