Elder Twanna House shared:
"Don’t Judge Me, Really?"

I thought about often we say “Don’t judge me. Only God can.” True enough. However it is the Word of God that judges us. Hebrews 4:12 says “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” The Greek word for “judge” is “kritikos” meaning “skilled for judging“. In other words, a judge is an expert in a particular area of knowledge. Just as a judge in court is an expert of the law, the Word of God is an expert in examining our hearts. Truth is, we are not equipped as human beings to judge one another about what is in our hearts. However, the Word of God is. Be encouraged. It is for your good to become better than what you are. That is God’s desire for us anyway.
