I often sit back and wonder how this world would function without modern technology. Can you imagine life without cell phones, GPS, or Navigation systems, hospital generators, and much more? The list could go on and on. I’m sure we would be lost, crazy, and scared, maybe even dead . Every emotion we have would overtake us, because of our accustomed lifestyles.
Now, imagine if God were not in our lives. Can you imagine if the Lord really allowed the Devil to have his way he desires to? Though different examples, it would be the same outcome. We would be lost, crazy, scared, or maybe even dead. The word of God reads in John 10:10, that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. That’s exactly what we allow the enemy to do when we idolize these modern devices. We push God back as if he were an outdated eight track player. Yes, all of these things are a necessity of our modern life. But, we cannot forget about God. Less verbal communication equals less relationship. When you lack verbal communication because of technology, it can destroy relationships in every aspect.
When we don’t have communication with God, it can destroy our relationship with him. It is vital to commune with our Savior. Just like natural relationships, we need a spiritual relationship with Jesus. Even though he created us does not mean he does not want to hear our voice. So, as technology advances remember to talk to the one who created every inventor of the technology, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
