"Your Life Has Cycles to Complete"

I believe there are four cycles in life – winter, spring, summer and fall. Most strategist and organizers use cycles to forecast their calendar year. Let’s identify each cycle.

Spring brings the sweet aroma of flowers blooming; the noise of birds chirping after a long winter vacation; and the sky pours buckets of rain upon the earth to wake the sleeping soil. It’s newness. It’s colorful. It’s vivacious. It’s a new beginning.

Summer is what I call the thriving cycle, where everything is booming. What you planted has bloomed and in its fullness. You are enjoying the fruits of your labor. You are eating the apples, oranges and pears from the trees. It’s going on. The days seem longer and nights seem shorter. It’s when families take vacations; the children are out of school. It’s the season of pleasures and enchantment.

Fall is the harvest cycle. It’s the gathering cycle when you store what you’ve planted because the frost of winter is coming. You are repairing and building storehouses. The leaves are falling from the trees, and the earth is moving further from the sun, thus bringing colder weather. You are working your fields. Old things are dying, to prepare for the new.

And then there’s winter. The earth is quiet and still. You can’t see anything happening with the physical eye. Some animals hibernate to rest. There isn’t much activity. It’s the cycle of peace and tranquility.  The fields are plowed, and the trees are bare. It’s the waiting season.

Yes life is a journey with cycles to complete! Embrace each rotating sequence. Which cycle are you in?
