I like antiques, retro clothing, old houses and some old cars as I’m sure that many of you do. For the things that I named in the previous sentence that’s fine, but when it comes to old places, old relationships, old allegiances and our old ways, God desires more for us. We can be so much like the Israelite’s in that we forget that our old life was a life filled with bondage and severe unhappiness. While on our Christian journey, let’s not forget that God called us to be separate, so then there are things, people and places that we must separate from because they keep us in bondage and in our old life and ways of doing things and from the newness of life that Jesus died for us to have in him. Isaiah 43:18 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old, 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth: Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. That being said out with the old, in with the new! Be blessed!
