So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxities of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:4 Amplified Version
As far back as I can remember, whenever I would attend this particular women convention, there would appear on screen, this mother singing, “One day at a time, Sweet Jesus, that is all I am asking from you, God for my sake, help me to take, one day at a time! I was very young those days and did not quite get those lyrics. But since then, I have come to an understanding of what they mean. I have also have come to understand that God does not intend for us to try to meet our needs outside of acknowledging him and allowing Him to direct us (Proverb 3:5,6). In (Exodus 16:4) the Word says, “Then the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you; and the people shall go and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law or not.
Jesus said, “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have {perfect} peace and confidence. In the world you will have tribulations and trials and distress and frustation; but be of good cheer{take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted}! For I have overcome the world. {I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you}. John 16:33. What I hear Jesus saying to us, is live your today in confidence and with assurance that every provision that you need, God has provided. What I hear God saying is praise me, and give me thanks for supplying every one of your needs this day, for today is all you have promised to you.
God want us to know, just as when he calls his apostles together and prior to sending them out to minister to the masses, He gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure all diseases. He commanded them to take nothing on the journey with them (Luke9:1-3), I believe God wanted the apostles to rely completely on what He had provided and not themselves or anyone else. He equipped them to have within themselves all that they needed for the journey. When Jesus is in us, the hope of Glory! Know beloved, we are then empowered to be the equipment that He uses, not only to meet our daily needs but also those of others.
Beloved, Be of Good Cheer, we have our daily bread (Jesus: St. John 6:33,34, 35, 51) already provded.
