Shirley Murdock’s current radio single “Dream” has inspired many listeners across the country since it first hit the airwaves. Long before releasing her latest CD & DVD, Live: The Journey, Murdock’s goal has always been to uplift the name of Jesus and unite people through her music ministry. This month, she is maintaining this goal by releasing not one but two new singles, Lord You Reign and Someday. Both radio singles were written by psalmist and founder of Tyscot Records Bishop Leonard Scott. Continue reading

(Dover, Delaware) February 15, 2012-There’s no mistaking Eunice Wright with any other artist on today’s scene. The power of her voice, energetic panache, and phenomenal vocal range and ability makes her voice immediately recognizable to anyone who have heard it before. Eunice ventured out of her local church in 2009 on a quest to share the ministry God has afforded her with the masses and has since been making an indelible mark on the music world ever since. Her newest single, “Hello God”, from her forthcoming project “Worth It All” is certain to have the same unforgettable effect on as the worship experience of Eunice Wright. Continue reading

Brian Courtney Wilson’s New CD Project, So Proud
Debuts at #1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart,
#1 on the Top Christian/Gospel Albums Chart,
#5 on Billboard’s Independent Chart and
#44 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart
(Houston, TX – February 15, 2012) – Mathew Knowles’ Music World Gospel recording artist Brian Courtney Wilson’s new CD project, So Proud, released on February 7, debuts at #1 on both Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart and the Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart. So Proud also debuts at #5 on Billboard’s Independent chart and #44 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart.
This week, Wilson’s title song and current single, “So Proud” lands at #21 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart and #18 on the Gospel Indicator chart. “So Proud” is a feel good blend of inspiration, heart and soul. “So Proud” was produced by multiple GRAMMY®, GMA Dove and Stellar Award-winning producer Aaron W. Lindsey (Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp).
Wilson’s sophomore CD, So Proud, is receiving great reviews. “Wilson’s tone and downright in- the-pocket delivery stand out in a sea of gospel male vocalists who often substitute acrobatics for solid singing. Brian Courtney Wilson affirms the very reason we fell in love with his artistry the first go ‘round,” says GospelPundit.com. “On So Proud, Wilson’s vocals are more refined and smoother than his distinctively raspier vocals on Just Love,” says EURWEB.com.

Creature Clan to release first group project
“New Beginnings” marks initial album from D-MAUB and Eric Cross as duo
Cincinnati, Ohio January 30th 2012- Even prior to the recent addition of Eric Cross to the One Route Entertainment artist roster, plans for a collaboration album were in the works with D-MAUB. The duo, Creature Clan, derives their name from II Corinthians 5:17 in which those living for Christ are termed new creatures. With the rising success of the first single “Images”, the album “New Beginnings” promises to illustrate an impressive blending of these two artists styles into a noteworthy musical experience.
“New Beginnings” lays out a descriptive narrative , starting with the song titles, which allows the listener to take a journey on the life of being and becoming a new CREATURE. From beginning to end, here is a look at the story the project imparts. The first song, “Look Out” is stating that we, as Creatures (believers), are not backing down and we are everywhere around you. We are growing in spirit, in love and in numbers and soon we will begin to dominate the Earth just as God intended. Next up is “Problem Child”. This is simply promoting that since we are now God’s children, we are a problem to the enemy. The third track is “I Go To Work”. Here D-Maub explains that since we are God’s children, its time for us to Go To Work, meaning evangelism. It’s important that we go out into the world and live a life of holiness to help the lost in acknowledging God and ultimately bring souls to the Kingdom. Fourth, “Take Control”; as we Go To Work on the battlefield, it’s important that we surrender our will and allow God to have full control over our actions in order to maintain a successful life of faith in Jesus. Coming up fifth is “The Explanation”. This interlude is explaining why we call ourselves Creatures rather than beasts or monsters. God said in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new CREATURE: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” The sixth song is “I’m a CREATURE”. Eric Cross and D-MAUB go in depth about the power that new creatures possess . We are brand new in Christ and we are not afraid to proclaim our faith. On the seventh track, “What’s It Gonna Be?”, Creature Clan is asking which side will you choose. There are many gods that you can choose to serve, but there is only one God that grants you eternal life and His name is Jesus. Eighth is “The Light”. Since we have posed the question What’s It Gonna Be?, for those who have decided to accept Jesus, we welcome you to The Light, where you will find joy, unconditional love and peace that surpasses all understanding. The ninth song is called “Images”. This is a warning to the new converts to be careful what you look at as images you view today can be stored in your mind that can later present a battle; a battle that in most times you are not prepared to fight. This song leads into number ten, “Pobody’s Nerfect”. This is a direct result of what can happen if we allow those Images to take root into our minds. Eleven, “Know Pain, Know Gain”, explains that through our downfalls God is still there to comfort, strengthen and restore us. In this walk you will be challenged, but be encouraged, knowing that our mistakes force us to run to God who will forgive us for our sins after repenting with a sincere heart. Twelve is “Right Now”. Eric Cross is letting the listener know that yes we make mistakes, yes we fall into temptation, yes we disappoint God with our actions, but we are ready to take a stand Right Now to seek the Kingdom of God AND His righteousness. So, with that being said, song number thirteen is “Let It Burn”. We are expressing that anything that is a hindrance to our walk with Jesus we are turning away from those things and dedicating our life to righteousness. Last but not least, song number fourteen is “Thank You”. Enough said, this track will speak for itself. “New Beginnings” will be available online at www.OneRouteEntertainment.com and digital outlets starting February 14th.

Hip-Hop Hope Unity Conference and City Takers event kicks off tour in Nashville Feb 4, 2012

DaSouth.com’s co-owner Tre9 and Freestyle Missions founder ScottFree will unfold their 11-city tour that will strengthen the Christian hip hop community in 2012. Beginning with Nashville, TN in February and ending in Chicago IL mid-December, this tour will unite more than the artists it serves. Below is a press release from ScottFree and Tre9 regarding the Nashville unity conference, which is approaching quickly.
Dear TN co-laborers in CHH,
It is our desire to present a vision for unity to the Christian hip-hop community in Nashville, TN. We are humbled by the call God has given us to be “Bridge Builders” for this unified movement amongst Christian hip-hop missionaries. It is for this reason we are acting on our call; sharing resources, experience, knowledge, and genuine servant-hood to our brothers and sisters who love Jesus and spread His word throughout the hip hop culture.

Hip Hop Hope unity engagements have successfully taken place in the following cities in 2011:
Oklahoma City, OK
Austin, TX
Shreveport, LA
New York, NY
Atlanta, GA
Chicago, IL
We are coming to serve, unite, train and equip real City Takers for Christ. While we realize division exists within many cities all over the U.S, we are certain that this short time with you will make a tremendous impact on your individual ministry and the hip-hop movement in Tennessee.
We will also be having our City Takers urban hip-hop service that night. This is an outreach service that exists to reach people in our culture who feel disconnected from God and traditional churches.
It’s a great opportunity to invite friends who typically won’t attend most Christian events. Bring them and the Holy Spirit will connect them!
Let’s unify and grow together at the Hip Hop Hope Unity Conference and City Takers event. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Bobby “Tre9″ Herring

Overview of Agenda
I. Fellowship and Networking Luncheon
One of the main things we want to make time for is getting to know one another. Our unity fellowship luncheon will include a meal together absolutely free of charge. It is our desire to get to know our fellow brothers and sisters who labor amongst us in Tennessee. This luncheon provides a laid back and relaxed way to talk about everything on our minds while filling our stomachs.
II. Unity Strategy Workshops
While the descriptions and titles below do not give full details about the unity strategy workshops, it is certainly a great overview of what we will be addressing during the presentations. It is important to note that we do not sell anything during our time there. The entire event is free of charge.
Workshops- Schedule & Description
Meet and Greet / Introduction – 10:00am-10:30am
Unity Workshop I – “Unity with a Purpose” 10:30-12noon
Too often the word unity is thrown around within Christian Hip Hop circles as something superficial. Phrases such as “we need to do more songs together,” are generally the remedy for unity within our industry. But what is biblical unity? How can that actually be accomplished amongst Christian hip-hop artists who are thousands of miles apart when we can’t even come together in our own cities?
After 14 years of faithfully ministering to the hip-hop culture as a rapper, record label owner, event promoter, producer, media rep and hip hop missionary, God has placed a burden for unifying Christian rappers on the heart of Tre9. In the last 2 years, he has been committed to the mission of bringing hope to the lost, the broken and the under-served through his non-profit organization, Eyes On Me, Inc. In addition, God has also called him to serve, equip and unify his co-laborers in Christian hip-hop. With the creation of DaSouth.com, a Christian hip-hop mega media site, he has exemplified unity from an industry standpoint. Nevertheless, Tre will go much deeper into the nuts and bolts of unity for the sake of the Great Commission being fulfilled in this workshop. Artists will leave with a focus and strategy for their individual ministries, as well as a unified purpose with fellow Christian hip-hop missionaries across the U.S.
Fellowship Luncheon 12noon-1pm – We will hear testimonies from national artists such as D-Muab on how God shifted his heart to become more missional after spending some time with ScottFree and Tre9 and implementing some of what they were doing into his own ministry.
There will be a few other artists sharing powerful testimonies on how God has used them to impact the hip-hop culture.
Unity Workshop II “Missing the Mission in Hip Hop” 1pm-2:30pm
Most artists will say, “I want to reach the streets,” but when you take a closer look, very few actually implement their desire effectively and consistently.
This workshop will help you engage your community by using your gifts, talents and music to impact the urban culture. You will learn practical ways of becoming more effective in your mission and calling by developing strategic partnerships and serving others in your city. This will result in bearing more fruit and a greater impact outside the four walls.
The workshop will be led by Scott Free, an evangelist, pastor, and hip-hop artist who emerged out of the Miami urban hip-hop scene in the early 90′s to fall in love with Jesus. His love for urban culture and his new found passion, insisted that he follow the urge to reach this same aimless and searching generation with the love of Jesus Christ. Residing in what many refer to the new hip-hop capital of the world, Atlanta GA, Scott pastors a monthly Urban hip-hop service called City Takers. His focus on ‘being the Church’ pushes him daily beyond the four walls of tradition to serve in prisons, jails, homeless shelters, schools and drug rehab centers.
He is also a gifted speaker and ministers in various locations and venues all over the world. He is the founder of Freestyle Missions and The Heart of HipHop where he and his family serve as full time missionaries based in Atlanta, GA. His music and speaking is impacting the urban and hip-hop culture everywhere for Jesus Christ!
Break for Afternoon and Dinner 3pm-7pm
City Takers Urban Hip-Hop Servcie 7:30pm-10pm – feat. Bother Tone and D-Maub performing live. We will have a time of worship and the word as well. You won’t want to miss this night! We expect everyone to bring someone who is disconnected from God.

Selected of God Choir to Host Evolution Listening Suite in Anticipation of Upcoming Full-Length Album During Stellar Awards Weekend
NASHVILLE, TN, January 9, 2012 – Ambassadors of Chrysler’s’ “Imported from Detroit” Campaign, Selected of God Choir announces their Evolution Listening Suite during the 27th Annual Stellar Awards weekend at the Sheraton Music City Hotel, 777 McGavok Pike in Nashville on Friday, January 13th from 10am-8pm and Saturday, January 14th from 9am-9pm. Selected of God will give fans, gospel industry VIPs, media and celebrity peers an exclusive sneak peak at tracks from their upcoming album, Evolution (Sing 2 Praise/S2P)set to drop this spring.
Produced by Grammy-winning, super producer Asaph Ward and Music Director Stephen Anderson, Evolution is a poetically written; contemporary, urban and inspiration record.
The choir’s chilling rendition of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” will lead the CD, but another stand outs include; a powerful remake of the wildly popular Clark Sisters hit’ “Sunshine”. Full of great accents, the explosive musical arrangement offers a sultry accompaniment to amazing vocals and boasts featured lead vocals by the actual legendary composer herself; Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark-Terrell. Selected of God is the 1st choir to ever record “Sunshine”.
No stranger to the success of a well done remade hit; Selected of God didn’t take the process lightly. According to the group’s humble Founder and Director Larry Callahan, “It was definitely an honor to remake “Sunshine”, but there was a lot of weight…not only did we want to honor the original writer and lead vocalist, who blessed us with her presence on our project, but we wanted to maintain the integrity of the Clark Sisters’ work—it was a great responsibility”.
Other promising tracks include “Dwell in Me”, an upbeat, fun composition by Stephen Anderson, that showcases the choir’s signature hip church swag. “Deliver Me” is a mid-tempo tune is written by Asaph Ward and national singer/songwriter Shawn McClemore with featured leads; Stephen Anderson and Nikki Ross from Houston. TX.
Eric Dawkins of the widely respected Dawkins and Dawkins joins SoG on “Forsaking All Others”. The heartfelt ballad by Adrian B. King proclaims the artists’ stance to not let anyone get in the way of honoring HIM. “Be Still and Know” showcases Chrystal Rucker, a rising gospel phenomenon, the powerful gospel artist comes in on vamp and takes you to church!
Anderson’s “He’ll Do Just What He Said” promises to be a foot stomping Sunday morning experience in your car and “New Creature” interprets the scripture that states if a man be in Christ; he can start over. Written by Asaph Ward and his mother, the late Dawna Ward, the mega producer expressed; “my mother was a choir trainer and helped groom me to be the producer I am today…I know she would be elated at the work Selected of God has done with our song and this album.”
The 24 member collective takes a few unexpected turns on their Evolution; infusing other genres with traditional gospel; “Change is on the Way”, written by Asaph and Billy Powell is led by hip hop artist Aaron Parrott, while “Making A Way” is an up-tempo house/techno song with featured vocals by Chiffon McNal and Rachel Stokes.
“What’s makes Evolution so special is that it is truly a collage of great gospel music that can touch individuals from every walk of life and be a blessing to the nation,” says Stephen Anderson.
As impressive as the material on the project is the caliber and regional variety of musicianship it features. Evolution is graced with some of the most seasoned musicians in the world including drummers; Chris Johnson (Los Angeles), Joshua Mayfield of the famous Mayfield Brothers and of gospel legend lineage; J Drew-Sheard a.k.a. JDS. Ethan Former (Los Angeles) and Allen “Snoop” Evans (Detroit) Robert Skinner and Aaron Mayfield (Mayfield Brothers of Kansas) lend the bass, with Michael Bereal also from LA, and Kevin Powell of Connecticut on keys and North Carolina’s Timothy Mole on guitar.

December 20, 2011 – IMMERSE, the Gospel Music Association’s Music Training Experience, is pleased to announce the fourth annual event, to be held July 23-25 at Rocketown in Nashville, TN. An opening night worship event will be held July 22 to kick off IMMERSE and start participants with a time of inspiration and focus.
For the first time, all attendees will receive a complementary one-year “iMembership” to the Gospel Music Association which includes the privilege of voting in the annual GMA Dove Awards. As an added incentive for early registration, anyone who registers for IMMERSE before December 31 of this year will be allowed to vote in the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards.
Up and coming indie artists, songwriters and future business leaders will all find something to gain from the event which offers unparalleled training, intimate concerts, professional feedback and individual opportunities to connect with music experts. IMMERSE aims to continue to create a sense of community and camaraderie among the attendees and professionals who seek to spread the Gospel through music.
Along with new incentives, IMMERSE will be held at Rocketown in downtown Nashville. Founded by Christian music icon, Michael W. Smith, Rocketown moved into it’s new location earlier this year, creating an environment that both fosters community among the registrants and provides great flexibility for the various production elements unique to the IMMERSE conference.
Rates for IMMERSE 2012 begin at just $199 if registration is submitted before March 31, 2012.
“It is our desire to provide an atmosphere where creativity, camaraderie and learning can thrive,” says Jackie Patillo, the Executive Director of the Gospel Music Association. “The IMMERSE stage is set to welcome up-and-coming artists and songwriters to share their talents in front of today’s leading music professionals. As well as uncover some of the mysteries of artist development and music industry standards.”
Conference speakers, competition judges and live performers will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
Programming will include classes in music business, songwriting and artist development. As in past years, IMMERSE will offer unprecedented access to some of the most influential and established names in Christian music.
