Our Story

Yes Lord Radio began as a small Christian e-newsletter that featured gospel entertainment news, inspirational word, and healthy living tips. As the technology for internet radio evolved, the first channel, YLR Gospel Hits, was broadcast to hundreds of listeners in the southeastern United States. In 2010, the Stellar Awards opened additional opportunities for Yes Lord Radio, as the station began to offer event coverage and seek ways to broaden the listenership base. Within a year, YLR increased its listening and viewing audience, reaching thousands of online visitors each day, and won a Stellar Award for Internet Radio Station of the Year.

YLR Hype Urban Gospel channel was introduced Fall 2010 as the urban gospel genre began to capture the interests of young Christian artists and listeners. That same year, YLR strategically developed a mobile website and Android app to increase the mobility of our programs. In 2012, updated versions of the mobile app were released and the YLR app was developed for Blackberry and iPhone users.

Today, YLR representatives from across the country provide event coverage within the Gospel and Christian Music Industry. Yes Lord Radio has received numerous awards and nominations, being recognized as pioneers in the Gospel Internet Radio market, and continues to seek new and innovative ways to deliver great Gospel music and Christian entertainment.
